Cross-border art exhibition takes you into the “digital” Longfu Temple
Against the backdrop of blue sky, white clouds and red walls and green tiles, a cross-border art exhibition integrating traditional paintings, sculptures, new media images, and installation art was unveiled at Longfu Cultural Center which creates a sense of parallelism between science, technology, history and culture. The “‘CyberEmergence’-NFT Cryptographic Art Exhibition will be on display until June 7.
The exhibition invited scholars and representatives from eight major art schools in China, including Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, etc., including pioneer cross-border artists, important celebrities of Chinese digital art and blockchain technology leaders.
More than 40 works of oil paintings, sculptures, prints, digital new video media（VR/AR/MR）, installations, sounds, CG, virtual reality and artificial intelligence with different themes were exhibited.
“Digital art creation has a history of more than 30 years. In recent years, NFT crypto technology has been used in art collection, which has changed the method of traditional art collection. This new thing has also attracted the attention of the art world and has become a hot spot in the art circle recently.
Art critic Wang Duanting believes, “We cannot avoid new technologies, but should make good use of these new technologies to promote the positive development of art.”
According to Sun Di, the chief planner and co-producer of the exhibition, this exhibition innovatively cooperates offline exhibitions with the NFT platform to promote digital collection, trading and circulation.
During the exhibition, experts from the two major genres of traditional art and digital art will also be invited to hold dozens of academic forums to explore how the future art industry will build a new digital platform that integrates creation, trading, investment and output crypto culture.
The head of the Xinlongfu project said that as a world-class cultural and artistic consumption destination where tradition and modern culture are embraced as integration. Longfu Temple has not only become Beijing’s online celebrity flagship place, but is also committed to launching intelligent, technological and digital content. The exhibition introduced this is an experiment combining art, technology and finance, as well as an attempt in the process of building a “digital” Longfu Temple. It hopes to bring the audience thoughts about the experience of time, space and the meaning of life.
